DUI/OWI/DWI - A Rose By Any Other Name?
DUI/OWI and DWI are often used interchangeably, but they exist individually
by state. Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (DUI), Operating While Intoxicated
(OWI) and Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) can be found in state statute books
throughout the country.
Are they the same? For the most part, "yes," but it is important to note
that each state has its own separate laws and penalties as they relate to the
