Judge
When you are arrested for a DUI, your case will typically be assigned to a judge. The judges
are either appointed to the bench or elected. All the judges are attorneys and will have ample
experience in the law.
Since DUIs are typically misdemeanors, you will have the judges who are not the felony judges
handling the matters. These judges will have been trained are versed in DUI laws. These judges
will know the motions and case surrounding DUI law. Your local DUI attorney will know the DUI
judges preferences and their dislikes. He or she will know when to substitute from the judge,
when to keep the case in before the judge.
Besides your DUI Attorney, the judge will have one of the biggest impacts upon the case.
